Moorings in norway

My perfect FT Weekend would be...

spent in Tonsberg, Norway. The air and light make for an envigorating walk anywhere; why did Munch Scream and Carlsen conquer chess?

Tonsberg is a beautiful small town in Norway, tucked away within expansive lakes and wooded countryside. Edvard Munch took inspiration from the area and his studio is close by. It is certainly an opportunity to ponder why he chose to paint the Scream amongst such beauty. Indeed, if there is anything screaming out when you visit Tonsberg it is tranquility - an oxymoron in its truest sense: moorings; mustard and toffee coloured clapboard houses, crystal clear air. With so much said about the Scandinavian lifestyle and contentment, it would be a weekend to contemplate, relax, enjoy the glorious seafood and witness the evidence unfold until the Gloaming.
