My perfect FT Weekend would be...

Harry Potter for the family. Fireside feast in the Highlands. Microlights were broomsticks. We climbed castle walls. There was magic...

Our Harry Potter weekend was to family fun what now infamous Heroes of Telemark trips have become to middle-aged male wanna-be SAS troopers. Cheeks are red from excitement and the brisk air of the Scottish highlands where we camped lakeside. Dinner was a fire-side feast. Butter beer and real beer featured in equal measure. So did a star guest. Microlights have been broomsticks. We have climbed castle walls. Met and seen magicians. There have been mazes, invisibility and duels. The surprise monster when it came inevitably, terrified us all. We are alive. Young and old, we are wizards.
